Women Riders
The AMA has a long history of welcoming women to the sport of motorcycling, from its early affiliation with the Motor Maids, a premier motorcycling group for female riders, to conferences designed specifically for women, and inducting many women into the legendary halls of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
While the number of women who enjoy the freedom of two wheels continues to grow due to the excitement and accessibility of the sport, women riders often face some unique challenges, from finding the right bike, to selecting protective gear that fits, to overcoming societal stereotypes.
Whether you’re a woman just beginning your journey on two wheels or a veteran with years of experience, the AMA welcomes you! We’ve put together a guide to help new women riders get started.
